Carefree Buckeye 29 LLC was formed in 2019 to purchase 29 acres of prime farm land in downtown Buckeye. The partnership closed on the property in November 2019. Rezoned the property from General Commerce to Downtown Commercial. Sold first half of property to Roers Companies in March 2022 to develop an affordable housing community consisting of 3-story, 200 unit for-rent apartments. Sold the second half of the property to 29th Street Capital in May 2022 to develop a market-rate rental housing community with over 300 rental units.
